My second adventure started very early on a cold December day, 4am to be precise.
The early start followed quickly by a 3 hour Eurostar journey, for which this was my entertainment in between several naps! :
Upon arrival the weather wasn't any better and persistent drizzled hampered my attempts to find the hotel (which took around 3 hours!) But thankfully as darkness fell the drizzle stopped and allowed me to take a nighttime trip around the city.
First stop, the Notre Dam :

The sky was lovely and cloudy and the bright moon shone down to make an amazing skyline.
Followed by a trip to the Eiffel Tower. A very impressive sight from all angles!

Unfortunately the next day saw no improvement in the weather, in fact the wind was stronger and photographing the sights proved a battle against the conditions. This is where a lens cloth becomes invaluable, after every few shots the lens was coated in raindrops and needed a good clean.
However the rain did make for great pictures, the water covering the ground reflecting all the lights:
